The Causality-aware Response-eliciting biphasic emotional auspex resonator is a two-handled ray-gun. I'm thinking of those seen at 
. It was created by an anti-social Twilight in the late first age in response to complaints by his Lunar Spouse that he never knew what to talk to her about. It rapidly scans a target, presenting a personality profile optimized for further conversation.
Point the CAREBEAR at a person. Spend 2 motes per point of permanent Essence they have to attune it to them. Roll your Perception+Investigation with a number of automatic successes equal to your Essence. For each extra success, the machine informs you of one way to tweak or poke the target. Such tweaks are undodgeable Manipulation-based social attacks to compel the target to reveal an otherwise hidden aspect of his personality, nature, cares, Intimacies, Motivations, or strong Virtues. They produce far more data than usual for such interactions, and the guidance of the Resonator provides a clear and unambiguous interpretation of the results.
Notes
I'm not sure how much it should cost to attune it in the first place; how much it should cost to fire at someone; what you roll to get your count of questions; what benefit it gives to that targeting roll or to the social attacks. Comments/advice/help?
