The Maidens went on a peach-wine bender after a particularly bad turn at the Games of Divinity. They descended on a random spot in Creation, picked the nearest mortal, and demanded he select one of them as the best. That mortal was Chemakum Ram, prince of the Skoskomish tribe of the Linowan. He chose Venus. She rewarded him with the hand and other body parts of the fairest woman in Creation. That woman is Elencina, wife of the chieftain of the Eldest Clan of Halta.
Upon discovering that Elencina is married, Ram declines Venus' offer. Venus is offended by the refusal, and the other Maidens' by the foolish boy's original choice. Ensure that he takes the girl, that this causes war between the Linowan and the Haltan barbarians, and that the states involved in the attack form a new alliance. It doesn't have to do much now, but we'll need it in their legends in a few centuries when the Realm's scheduled to take them as a Satrapy.

Deadline: Ram has to take Elencina within the Season. The alliance will need to happen by Calibration of this year in order to have enough time to set.
The Cerulean Lute of Harmony will give a level 2 reward if Chemakum Ram ends up with Elencina, keeping Venus' promise. Both of them should end up Serene about the outcome.
Various toadies to to the Five Maidens will grant small favors if Ram can be made to suffer in entertaining ways appropriate to the Maiden he offended: such reprisal should include a demonstration of how Battle, Secrets, Endings, or Journeys are more important than Serenity for four of the Maidens. Venus will stop being annoyed if Ram ever accepts his present and writes/prays a thank-you note to her. Until then, she'd like to see him reminded that Serenity is more important than Temperance. Pleasing Venus requires that neither Ram nor Elencina are seriously damaged. The other Maidens are less picky.
Venus will be Greatly Wroth if Ram or Elencina is killed or seriously damaged. Gods of the Lute will refuse to aid Astrology of those responsible for a year.
The Subconvention on Marital Relations will give a level 1 reward if both societies still favor proper marital relations when you're done meddling.
Level 3 reward for embarassing the Haltan marriage goddess, from the Bronze Faction.
